Offline Maps

Steps to download offline maps

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app Maps. (you need internet at this time)
2. Search for a place, like New Jersey.
3. At the bottom, tap the name or address of the place
4. Then tap More More and then Download offline map.

You can download as many offline maps you want as long as your phone memory supports. you can also remove unused offline maps from your profile. This is also useful when you want to save your phone battery which is used heavily when you use online maps/

Parking places are usually bigger and overcrowded , so often when we park our car in crowded place, it gets difficult to find. Google maps provide an easy way to mark where you parked your car.

Steps to remember your parking spot

1. Open google maps
2. Tap the blue dot on map which shows your current location
3. At the bottom of screen, you will notice a menu
4. Select Set as Parking location or Save Parking option.

Steps to Share your Location

1. open the Google Maps app and sign in.
2. Tap your profile picture
3. Select Location sharing and then New share Add people.
4. To copy your Location sharing link, tap Copy to clipboard.
5. To share the link with someone, paste the link into an email, text, or other messaging app.
   

People who have this link can find your real-time location for as long as you choose, up to 24 hours

1. Create an event on your chosen site.
2. Visit the meet-ups page on Connect.
3. Click Submit meet-up.
4. Enter your event link and details.
5. Add an original photo.
6. Click Publish.

Register for Meet up

1. Go to Local Guides Connect.
2. On the left, click Meet-ups.
3. To browse upcoming meet-ups, in the “Upcoming meet-ups” section, click Show all.
4. To find the host page for a specific meet-up, click the title of the meet-up.
